Equipment Loaner Program

MSM Distance Learning has an Equipment Loaner Program for schools, community organizations, and other partner institutions, thanks to the generosity of Polycom Corporation, a leading videoconference provider worldwide.

Loaner Program Policies & FAQ

  • Who can register for the equipment loaner program?

    Any school, college, library, community or senior center, or similar organization interested in registering for our programs, but do not have the appropriate equipment.

  • How much does the loaner program cost?

    It is free to all institutions registering for MSM Distance Learning programs for the first time!! Return customers requesting the loaner equipment will need to pay solely for the associated shipping charges. First-time international customers need to pay round trip shipping and handling fees.

  • Are their any additional costs involved with this loaner program?

    No, only the fee for program content.

  • How does it work?

    Check the appropriate box in the registration form. The equipment, including accessories , cables, and a reference guide will be shipped to you in a small road case.

    Within 3 business days of the program presentation, your organization will ship the equipment back to MSM. The return shipping label will be included in the road case.

  • What if I need help setting up the equipment?

    If the set-up guide will guide is insufficient, one of our staff members can assist you. What does my institution need to provide?

    Your institution needs to provide the video monitor or display (i.e., TV) for your students or clients to view the program, a stable Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth speed of 384 Kbps. You also need to provide external audio speakers, if your video monitor does not have them built in.

  • What other information does my institution need to know?

    Your organization is responsible for the loaner equipment while in your possession. Equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged is subject to replacement or repair fees. Your organization is not responsible for the equipment during shipping and handling. Equipment that is not returned promptly after program presentation (within 3 business days) may be subject to a penalty fee, if equipment is needed at another location.

  • What other information does my institution need to know?

    The partner organization participating in MSM’s loaner program is responsible for this equipment while in their possession. Equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged during this timeframe is subject to replacement or repair fees. Partner organization is not responsible for the equipment during shipping and handling. Equipment that is not returned promptly after program presentation (i.e., 3 business days) may be subject to a penalty fee, if equipment is needed at another partner organization location.

  • What is the purpose and mission of this loaner program?

    The purpose of this loaner program is threefold:

    • To enable all organizations to receive MSM music distance learning programs and not be limited by their current technological resources.

    • To inspire all organizations who participate in the loaner program to seek future funding sources that can enable them to receive more MSM distance learning music programs.

    • To enable all organizations to experience Polycom videoconference equipment, which is technologically- enabled for the delivery of superior sound transmission and fidelity.
