Global Conservatory Videoconference Master Class Series

Be a part of MSM’s one-of-a-kind master class exchanges, featuring distinguished faculty members from MSM and their counterpart colleagues from around the world! Students are invited to participate or attend! Unless otherwise noted, events will be held in the Mischa Elman Distance Learning Studio.

Pinchas Zukerman Performance Program

Regular video conference lessons are provided for MSM students enrolled in the Zukerman Performance Program. Each student is given access to our online digital library to review their past lessons and continue the learning process.

Selected MSM voice students receive telementoring video conference sessions with noted American baritone, Thomas Hampson.

Glenn Dicterow Orchestral Performance Program

Glenn Dicterow, chair of MSM’s Graduate Program in Orchestral Performance and former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, connects with MSM students for a series of videoconference lessons, from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.

Digital Scholars Program

Selected students participating in this independent study project will learn how to design, create and deliver a music-themed videoconference program for K-12 classrooms around the United States. Students will receive training and small stipend to develop these music programs plus the opportunity to present them on an ongoing basis to classrooms around the globe.

Alexander Shelley, music director of Canada's National Arts Centre Orchestra, leads a live interactive videoconference workshop about the live of an orchestral musicician from the perspective of a conductor, in collaboration with the Center for Music Entrepreneurship, Distance Learning, and Orchestral Performance Programs and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
